THE
WOLF IN WAIT
It was dusk
When I stalked the hunger that was killing me
I had followed through rivers of time
Not even the mountains
That seemed like far away memories
Dancing on the misty horizon
Knew what I was doing in this hunt
I had already come a long way
My steps were tired and numb
I no longer had the strength to mark my path
That vanished in the fallen leaves
Her delay was revealed as I listened for her movement
This was the moment! I'd jump on top of her
And devour her!
I'd destroy her womb,
And then the face
My teeth chattered in anticipation
They were ready
My body erect
Starring, impatient.
She stopped in clearing; she knew I was watching her,
But she wasn't scared
Their wing fluttered as she raised them,
Letting her body fall lightly to the ground
Then she looked at me
It was almost like a sigh from a tear
Unintelligible and sacred
Bewilderment wrapped my body in goose bumps
And stayed behind the tree
That protected my presence
Unable to move, intimidated that supplicating look
Panic overcame me
While the silence wavered in the wind
I didn't move, I couldn't attack her
"Don't kill me," she said in a clear voice
"I am your hope"
My faith emptied in to those words and my life was reflected in that pleading
call
She was my hope!

I HAVE NO WORDS BUT WIND
There is my child looking for stars
Waiting for the night,
Waiting for the morning knight
There you are my sweet child,
Waiting with wide open eyes
Looking for the morning wind,
The one that bring the sweet words
You are looking to hear
The truth is, my sweet girl
There are no words on the wind,
However, don't change the lines of your face
Because the wind is there to bring you to me.
There are no words on the wind
Just a poem
You my sweet girl flying in the wind
I may have no words for you
But I
have sweet wind.
