Women:
Temples of Power

Statement
Through photography
I celebrate the human form, the beauty and fecundity of life around
it. When I photograph a nude I see the simplicity of such form: full
of shapes, lines, motion and emotion
the human essence in images
of energy and light. I capture the beauty within my perception of reality.
My tool is a camera. I enjoy working with a multifaceted variety of
photographic processes and materials to create images (such as black
and white papers, color film, Polaroid transfers, toning chemicals,
digital media, etc.). I experiment with light, pattern, form and shadow.
Photography is my expression that comes from deep respect for and fascination
with diverse perceptions in reality, so complex, so full of rhythms
and expressions. I search in my surroundings and I see beauty, chaos,
technology, and social behaviors that reveal restless merging cultures.
Images are created are my individual visual interpretation of the world.
In the grain, I seek to portray and reveal a message that gives voice
to my thoughts. I immerse myself in my subject and observe, learn, and
grow.
There is nothing wrong if you are disturbed or offended by my images.
Yet, judging and censoring my ideas because they do not conform to your
perspective of reality is not the way to understand my work. My photography
is my voice and desire to make you think for a moment, to make you feel
an emotion that portrays my perceptions through my photographic eye.
